Here's a track that's very different in style yet deeply connected to the kind of soulful, inspirational house that you may be familiar with from Tribe.

Both Irfan Rainy and Baba Israel are multi-talented individuals whose skills range across musical genres and creative disciplines. Rainy is a DJ, producer, record label owner, promoter and artist born and raised in Manchester who hosts long-running and brilliantly-eclectic Community nights. Baba Israel is an MC, poet and beatboxer who was raised in New York to parents who were immersed in community theatre. He first got involved in music through hip hop and spoken word in New York and later in Australia. He is now based in Manchester where he is Artistic Director of Contact, a charity built around empowering youth through creativity.

'Freedom' brings them together to create an inspirational spoken-word and vocal track, in which Baba Israel delivers a powerful, impassioned prose-poem about struggle, freedom, music, survival and society which called to mind tracks like Bobby Konders' 1990 classic 'The Poem' and the best conscious rap.

'We struggle with fate,
We struggle with money that comes too late
We struggle with hate'

The original track backs this with a deep didgeridoo drone that builds up to a pulsing dance rhythm with multi-layered vocals and jazzy riffs over a rolling house bass line.

'We are more than the shadows. We light the way'

Deep house specialist Manoo, a longtime favourite here at Tribe, leads in to his remix with pounding tribal drum beats, developing haunting flute lines and echoing snares while always allowing the vocal poetry to shine.

'This is survival music. This is shift the paradigm and justice music. This is liberation music. This is sacred music. This is get your ass on the dancefloor music'

It's clearly the get your ass on the dancefloor line that inspired Black Motion in his Aquarian Mix, as he creates an instrumental version that doesn't hold back. It jumps to hard-hitting house rhythms from the off, with looping melodies, shivering bell tree echoes and a breakdown and build-up that should work beautifully around 4am.

'We rise up with grace. We rise up with bass. We rise up with race. We rise up with bass. Every hand that ever played the drum is with us; every mouth that blew that note is with us... This is vibe music.
